Whether you’re working through acute difficulties or seeking personal growth, psychotherapy provides guidance, clarity, and compassionate support.

Through empathetic, confidential, and collaborative conversations with a trained therapist, clients deepen self-awareness, uncover root causes of distress, and develop practical tools to navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationship issues.

Grounded in evidence-based and science-backed approaches, sessions are tailored to your unique needs and goals. Our therapists draw on various modalities outlined below.

Psychotherapy can physically change the brain.

Neuroimaging research shows that psychotherapy can alter neural pathways, similar to antidepressant medication (Linden, 2006).

AI chatbots consistently fail to meet safety-critical standards required in real clinical care and often reinforce stigma and provide unsafe or inappropriate responses.

Researchers at Brown University found that widely used chatbots systematically violate core ethical standards in mental health practice, such as handling crisis situations improperly, offering misleading responses, or providing a false sense of empathy (Iftikhar et al., 2025).  A complementary study at Cornell University found that these chatbots may reinforce stigma, provide unsafe or inappropriate responses, and fail to meet safety-critical standards required in real clinical care (Moore et al., 2025).

Therapeutic alliance is the strongest predictor of positive outcomes.

Studies show that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client predicts improvement more strongly than variables such as the therapeutic modality, location, etc. (Cruwys et al., 2023).

Online psychotherapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy.

While preferences vary, meta-analyses reveal that virtual CBT produces outcomes equivalent to traditional face-to-face sessions (Zandieh et al., 2024). We have many therapists who offer in-person and/or virtual sessions to accommodate your preference!

From early psychoanalysis to modern integrative therapies, psychotherapy has undergone continuous refinement informed by research and clinical innovation. Early methods emphasized insight and interpretation, while later approaches prioritized skill-building, present-moment awareness, and emotional regulation. In recent decades, therapies informed by neuroscience, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, and mindfulness-based interventions, have reshaped how clinicians understand healing. The field continues to evolve as new evidence deepens our understanding of the mind-body connection.

What can I expect in a session?

  • Confidential conversation
  • Goal setting tailored to your needs
  • Exploration of thoughts, emotions, patterns
  • Practical strategies and tools
  • Supportive and non-judgmental environment

How do I choose a therapist?

Our therapists offer 15-minute Resonance Checks where you can meet and speak with them, without committing to a full session. You can access their biography and learn more about them in the section above to learn about their experience and the modalities they apply in their practice.

What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on healing mental health concerns, processing emotions, and addressing past or present challenges, while coaching is future-oriented and supports goal-setting, personal growth, and accountability.

How long are appointments?

After a 15-minute Resonance Check appointment to meet your therapist and see if they are the right fit for you, 60-minute appointments are available for standard Psychotherapy sessions.

Note: Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy treatments are longer, with the timeframe depending on the type of appointment, the client’s preferences, and the therapist’s suggestions, among other factors.

How many appointments will I need?

This varies based on your goals and needs. Some people benefit from short-term support, while others choose ongoing therapy for deeper or longer-term work.

Can I combine Psychotherapy with other services like PAT or Acupuncture?

Yes. Many clients find that combining Psychotherapy with services like Massage Therapy, Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, Acupuncture, and others enhances outcomes by supporting both mind and body healing.

Our therapists have unique approaches. Below are some of the different therapy modalities our therapists use:

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

MI is a collaborative, non-judgmental style of counselling that helps clients resolve ambivalence and strengthen intrinsic motivation for change. It can be especially helpful for people feeling stuck, unsure about change, or navigating habits like substance use or lifestyle shifts.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that identifies unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and replaces them with more balanced, effective ones. This modality is well suited for individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, or specific patterns they want to modify with practical tools.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

MBCT integrates mindfulness practices with CBT techniques to help clients notice thoughts without judgment and prevent spirals of anxiety or depression. It’s especially beneficial for those with recurrent depression or anyone wanting to build awareness and emotional steadiness.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAT)

KAT combines therapeutic guidance with ketamine’s rapid neuroplastic effects to help clients access insights, reduce rigidity, and process experiences more deeply. KAT is ideal for individuals who haven’t found relief through traditional therapy or medication and are seeking a breakthrough approach.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps individuals accept difficult internal experiences, clarify personal values, and take committed action toward a meaningful life. It’s typically effective for people who feel stuck in avoidance, chronic stress, or self-criticism and want a values-driven path forward.

Trauma-Focused Therapy

This is a specialized approach that processes traumatic memories safely and reduces their emotional and physiological impact. Trauma-Focused Therapy is helpful for individuals healing from trauma, PTSD, adverse childhood experiences, or chronic stress patterns.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a skills-based therapy blending CBT with mindfulness to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It’s ideal for clients experiencing intense emotions, relationship challenges, or patterns of impulsivity or self-harm.

Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical Hypnosis uses focused attention and guided relaxation to access subconscious patterns and support therapeutic change. It can be useful for individuals dealing with anxiety, chronic pain, habits, or when deeper mind–body access can enhance treatment.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT helps people identify, experience, and transform emotional patterns to build resilience and connection. It’s valuable for those wanting to improve relationships, navigate attachment wounds, or process strong emotional blocks.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS views the mind as a system of “parts” and helps clients build a compassionate relationship with these parts for integration and healing. IFS is effective for individuals with inner conflict, trauma histories, or self-critical patterns who want a gentle, insight-driven approach.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic Therapy explores unconscious patterns, past experiences, and relational dynamics to create deeper insight and lasting change. It’s ideal for people wanting to understand themselves on a deeper level, especially around recurring relational or emotional themes.

Somatic Approaches

Somatic Approaches integrate body-based awareness, breath, and movement to release stored tension and support nervous system regulation. They can be especially supportive for individuals whose stress or trauma shows up physically, or who benefit from more embodied healing.

You don’t have to navigate life challenges alone.
