Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive healing practice that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance and harmony.

Using light touch or hovering hands, practitioners help guide subtle energy flow throughout the body, encouraging deep relaxation and energetic alignment.

Sessions are soothing, meditative, and accessible to anyone seeking emotional, mental, or spiritual support. Many clients report feelings of warmth, peace, clarity, and groundedness during or after treatment.

Reiki can also support emotional release, stress reduction, and a greater sense of inner calm.

  • Promotes deep relaxation and reduces stress in the mind and body
  • Supports emotional balance, clarity, and inner calm
  • Helps release energetic blocks and tension held in the body
  • Restores a sense of grounding, alignment, and overall well-being
  • Enhances the body’s natural healing processes and nervous system regulation
  • Anyone seeking stress relief, emotional balance, or energetic alignment
  • Individuals navigating burnout, overwhelm, or emotional heaviness
  • People processing trauma or transitions who need gentle, supportive care
  • Those exploring holistic or spiritual approaches to well-being
  • Clients interested in complementing other therapeutic or somatic work

Reiki has been shown to reduce stress, pain levels, help with depression/anxiety, increase relaxation, improve fatigue, and quality of life.

See for example Bat, 2021; Baldwin et al., 2017 and others.

Reiki induces brain-wave patterns similar to meditation.

This is established in studies such as Ivanchenko, 2025.

Hospitals increasingly integrate Reiki as a complementary therapy.

Its gentle nature makes it supportive for stress, pain, and cancer-care environments (Berger et al., 2013).

Reiki originated in Japan in the early 20th century, founded by Mikao Usui as a method for cultivating balance, compassion, and healing. Over time, the practice spread worldwide and became a recognized complementary therapy in wellness and healthcare settings. Modern Reiki integrates traditional lineage teachings with contemporary understandings of stress physiology and mind-body practices. Many practitioners now blend Reiki with therapeutic touch, mindfulness, or trauma-informed care.

What can I expect in a session?

  • A quiet, supportive environment designed for deep rest
  • A brief intake to understand your intentions for the session
  • Light touch or hands-off energy work performed while you relax fully clothed
  • Sensations such as warmth, tingling, or emotional release may arise
  • Grounding practices or reflections to help you integrate the experience

What’s the difference between Reiki and other energy healing modalities?

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-above) energy technique that channels universal life force energy. Other modalities may involve structured protocols, intuitive guidance, or therapeutic dialogue in addition to energetic work.

How many sessions will I need?

Some people feel shifts after one session, while others benefit from ongoing treatments, especially during times of stress, transition, or emotional processing.

Can I combine Reiki with other services like Psychotherapy, Massage Therapy, PAT, or Acupuncture?

Absolutely. Reiki pairs well with our therapeutic and body-based services. Many clients use it to calm the nervous system before Psychotherapy or PAT, or to enhance recovery and relaxation when combined with Massage Therapy or Acupuncture.

Do I need to believe in energy healing for Reiki to work?

No. Reiki supports relaxation and nervous system regulation regardless of belief, and you’re welcome to approach it with curiosity rather than conviction.
